A former champion wrestler and bodybuilder, Dr. Vendemia began his career as a fitness specialist who's own company offered professional athletic training and conditioning. He attended The Pennsylvania State University, where he graduated in the top 0.1 percent of his class, and earned professional degrees in Pre-Medicine, Biology, Biochemistry, and Fine Arts. He is an accomplished artist, and several of his commissioned pieces are currently displayed in his beautiful Park Avenue office.
Dr. Vendemia was awarded his medical degree by the Temple University School of Medicine, where he was elected a lifelong member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. During medical school, Dr. Vendemia led several research teams that investigated existing and emerging plastic surgery methods.
Dr. Vendemia completed his training in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the esteemed New York Hospital- Weill Cornell Medical Center in Manhattan, and then continued on to a highly sought after Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship in Los Angeles, California with one of the world's most prominent surgeons, Dr. W. Grant Stevens. He also trained extensively with the top surgical teams at several of the world's most renowned institutions: Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, The Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, The Hospital for Special Surgery, The Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital, and Lenox Hill Hospital.
Dr. Vendemia has authored numerous articles on advanced plastic surgery techniques published in medical journals and textbooks such as Current Cosmetic Surgery. He continues leading innovative research in breast augmentation techniques, facial rejuvenation, blepharoplasty, and in the expanding uses of cosmetic injectables, fillers, and lasers. He has delivered lectures and presentations to his colleagues and clients all across the country, and continues to be an active educator in his profession. The doctor has also authored thousands of internet articles on various plastic surgery topics, and continues to be a major contributor to the online community as the Editor-in-Chief of a variety of popular blogs and social media sites, such as BeautyWithoutTheBlade.com, FightFineLines.com, and HighSocietyPlasticSurgery.com.
